Personal Financial Education Courses

The courses will be run by Philip Evans, who has 10 years experience teaching personal finance skills.

Personal Finance 101: A rolling course of five modules covering the basic know-how of handling money effectively.  It includes understanding yourself well enough to use your money to your own best advantage, budgeting, shopping skills, evaluating sales tactics (marketing, advertising and sales talk), borrowing (credit) and recovering from debt.  Contact Philip to find out when the next series will begin.

Christian Living in a Consumer Society: Spend a Sunday afternoon looking at what Christ teaches about money and basic money handling skills (like budgeting, borrowing and clearing debt).  Contact Philip to find out the date of the next course.

Personal Finance Development Course: A course for anyone considering volunteering to train as a debt adviser and anyone else who would like to mentor, befriend or otherwise support people with money problems. Venue and dates to be announced but please contact Philip if you would like to join.

Philip is available to conduct personal finance courses at other churches and schools and for the employees of local businesses. To contact Philip about this or anything else, please click here.
